I like driving and cars that can drive.
DO YOU SEE MY PROBLEM?

Kinja'd!!!

Not camber though. Stretching tires/ camber is not rad in my book.

I couldn't agree more. I saw this M3 last month- a few tasteful mods, some nice BBS wheels, but the tires were stretched to hell. I wouldn't drive it 10 feet, it defeats the purpose of the car.

Oh gotcha, I went to FCF and also saw the Jsutai M3 last month so I was just wondering. Shot a sweet video for the event too. Aside from it be incapacitated, there's no denying it, it is damn beautiful.

On a racecar form follows function. The car sits low to keep the cg down and though the tires are tight to the fenders, it's all done properly... again, for a good reason.

When it is done so that function gives way to form you lose me. Why make your car look like a racecar. Why not make it a race car. Guarantee a track day is a whole lot more fun than spending an afternoon seeing who can clear a driveway entrance .

I totally agree. And those are the kind of builds I love. The ones that are beautiful, beautiful because they're were meant to be driven. Hard.

Definitely a good looking car, last time I saw it, it had different wheels though.

Black, actually. That's it behind the Volvo, and this was earlier this month.

Right, or at least do it to a 318i, not an M3.

Thats the thing, racecars can look like this:

Kinja'd!!!

because A: They dont give a shit about the drivers comfort

B:racetracks have very little bumps and no potholes. "they go over kerbs like a stampede over a black friday shopper" I hear you say? You are right, but kerbs are more rounded than potholes, its not atall comfortable and a racing cars components can usually take the pain, your "stanced out civic, yo!" has suspension made of old cast iron, steel, crap rubber and some cheap ebay coilovers. sometimes worse!

Kinja'd!!!

C:most 'stanced' racing cars are specially modified and share very little with their road going cousins, so you can betcha that inside that wheelarch there plenty of room!

Im agreeing with you here, btw. I cannot stand this whole stancing thing, their excuse is usually "but you cant go fast these days, so you might aswell go slow scraping" Which with beautiful quiet backroads (driven with caution) and trackdays is bullshit.

What I dont understand is this obsession with scraping and getting stuck being a good thing? If your car cant navigate a public highway or get into your property that is poor engineering and you have failed! Its not cool!

This is fucking cool.

Kinja'd!!!

And before you stanced guys scrape over here and say "its our car culture, leave us to it" "haters gonna hate" "Im not doing it to impress you" (even though adjusting your car to make it look more 'impressive' kinda means you are)

YOU FUCKERS HAVE TO FILL EVERY CARSITE, EVERY FACEBOOK GROUP, EVERY MEET WITH "YOU SHOULD SLAM THAT MAN"

I had a beautiful old car, cost quite alot but looked mint, went to a retro car meet and only got "IS THAT A MONSTER TRUCK LOL, YOU NEED TO SLAM THAT"(Only one guy actually spoke to me about the car like a car guy, he had a beautiful unmolested Xr2, he also had a mini clubman track day car...)

no, fuck off, its my car and il do what I want with it, now that youre giving me advice I dont want im going to stop ignoring your 'scene' actively HUNT IT DOWN and hate it as much as i want..

and dont get me started on when I bought a unmolested VW polo coupe HOLY SHITBALLS.

Stupid "cant be arsed to write this pin jointed frame report" rant over.

Ah I remember know, I forgot about that stage. I just remember when they were bright orange and then when I saw it again they were that bluish grey.

To each their own. What I'm saying is I like race cars and cars in general that are capable of driving, but I like the look of stanced cars nonetheless. But as I was already corrected by another opponaut "I like race cars but I hate stance" which given your argument about race cars being purpose built, what he said is true and I agree :)
